WASHINGTON (AP) - Fred Thompson, a newcomer to the Republican presidential contest, raised $9.3 million in the past three months and has $7 million in the bank, his campaign said Thursday.
The former Tennessee senator and "Law & Order" television actor has raised $12.7 million since he began exploring an entry into the race in June. All the money is for the primary contests. His campaign said he had 80,000 donors, 22,000 of them contributing through the Internet.

Wow! Pretty good considering he was only an announced candidate for 3 weeks this quarter!

Pretty good considering he was only an announced candidate for 3 weeks this quarter! D@mn good for a candidate who entered the race at an appropriate time for a POTUS candidate for '08.

Now, did he raise that over the quarter or just over three weeks? Because if that just came in in the last three weeks, holy smokes!

Good question. How he could raise 10 bucks before he was a candidate eludes me.

Dear Grunthor,
What I’ve read is that he raised about $5 million in the last three weeks. Which, if he can keep up at that pace, is about $20 million per quarter.

He’s been able to bank $7MM of the $12.7MM total. So far, he’s getting great mileage.

Truly an astounding goal to be reached by one too “lazy” to compete.

You know, yellowyelpingdog, or some such thing. The one who insists on posting everything in his own special font and color (presumably because his words are so vacuously forgettable).
He insisted that the $8m number floating around included the June monies collected by Imwithfred.com and elsewhere.

Good money numbers, and the Romney supporters are posting polls showing Fred as the frontrunner in the race.
Not bad
