Yep, Howard Dean will have had a better run when this is over.

The only question is will he run as a third party candidate (I think he will) and will it hurt the GOP (I seriously doubt it)?

Your predictions of Paul's showing in the primaries is about as reliable as your prediction that he won't run. He will do better expected in the primaries and will not run in the general should he lose.

On the other hand, if Paul won the nomination many of the so-called "loyal Republican" detractors would immediately form a third party even if it meant a Hillary presidency. Their purple prose about "spoilers" only applies to antiwar Republicans.
