They realize that the best thing for the common good, the best way to protect our children and their progeny, is to respect the individuals rights and the God given freedoms spelled out for us in the constitution.

"Ronbot"I suppose at the end of the day it doesn't matter, because Ron Paul IS NOT going to come close to getting the nomination.
He won't even come close.

I’ve learned two things about Paulbearers through this campaign so far: they know little or nothing about (a) the Constitution or (b) forming paragraphs.

What I find interesting is that
every political candidate, no matter what their stripe, from liberal democrat, to moderate libertarian, to right-winger, all claim to be the 'true' upholders of liberty and the
only true followers of the Constitution. Hell, even Hilldog said this the other day.
Robot? No, more like an American Idol-esque pop culture following.

Ron Paul has a right to run. You have a right to support him. I gave him a look and decided he is a nutty, crazy, frootloop.
That’s my right too. The “bot” suffix is usually taken to mean that someone is a blind follower of something and immune to reason or common sense. If you don’t won’t to be called a ***bot, offer criticism of the nutball sometime.

I’ve criticised him for his stance and explanation on earnmarks, his use of the word ‘neocon’, and aspects of his ‘gold standard’, immigration, and foreign policy to name a few.

"Ive criticised him for his stance and explanation on earnmarks, his use of the word neocon, and aspects of his gold standard, immigration, and foreign policy to name a few."Good for you. You are a Ron Paul supporter based on your belief that he is the best candidate of the bunch to be president. You are not a Ronbot, so don't get upset when it is applied to someone else. Good luck with your candidate.

I live in the 'Heartland' - the Midwest and try to read as much as possible of poltiics. The only place that I have ever seen Ron Paul's name mentioned is on FR.
This man is unknown throughout most of the country [other than the coasts] and he will stay unknown.

Ron Paul will be around in Nov '08. Clinton Inc. will use him the same way they relied on Ross Perot in '92.
True, he will never get the nomination, but the story of him breaking from the Republican Party... because they are TOO EXTREME will be priceless propaganda for Clinton Inc.
But the real objective is for him to get 10-15% of the popular vote, thereby letting Clinton Inc. skate into the White House with ~43%.
