It’s about time those indictments came down. Dallas city council needs to be cleaned up ... it’s needed that for years.

Democrats. No one ought to be surprised at how much corruption happens when government gets involved in activities that should properly be left to the private sector and individuals.

Didn’t see that in your excerpt, either.

All municipal office position races in Texas are non partisan. I agree that the offenders are prolly Dems, though.

Elephant in the room ... most are also Black ...

Also, I heard on the radio yesterday that Dallas pays their Councilmen $38K per year. Even though it is supposed to be a part-time job (7th largest city in the country ... yeah right) all $38K/year will attract is bottom-feeders with nothing better to do while looking to line their pocketbooks. These offices are “non-partisan” until a Republican dares to enter the race.

It is only considered “non-partisan” (which technically the offices are) when all of the candidates are Democrats.

The DNC had no problem getting into the Houston Mayoral runoff election when Orlando Sanchez (R) was running against Mayor Lee P. Brown (D-Clinonista).

Hmmm..No mention of party affiliation

Here is another FR thread posted from the Houston Chronicle.

Probe into corruption in Dallas snares 16 (was race a factor?)

I spewed coffee this morning when I saw the word "Democrat" as the first word of the subtitle in the Austin Rag. The online version is different than the dead tree edition and does not include party affiliation. It is not listed until the third paragraph. Here is a link, but registration may be required.
