"Yep, worked out great when we all voted for Perot on “principle”." What principle? Perot had no principles. He bilked taxpayers and then convinced pocketbook voters, NOT voters of principle, that he would straighten things out because he knew how to work the system. Therefore, he could fix things. People who voted for Perot, who many people believed was sent there to throw the election to the socialists, thought they were gonna get their taxes lowered.

Why was Perot a principled vote? He wasn’t any better of a candidate. I think perot voters voted out of spite, not principle.
In any case, then don’t complain when the candidate does what is politically expedient, since that is exactly what you’re advocating for each of us.
