I honestly hope someday conservatives will have a viable third party to vote for, because the Pubs have been drifting left for years now !!!
A two party system is fairly stable but it doesn’t have to be the same two parties. Parties can come and go.
I wish I had been more conscientious to record the titles and authors I had read when I was a young man. There was a good book in the Homestead Air Force Base library back in the 70s that spoke of a Conservative Party and a Liberal Party, rather than Republican and Democratic Parties. The book was written by a conservative who was even then upset about the Republicans trying to play social tag with the Democrats.
Such could happen, but it would be more likely through a third party transitional phase, I do believe.
This is one conservative that would NEVER vote for a party which identifies itself based on dogmatic morality.

The MSM elites who are centered in NYC are working overtime to have an irrelevant election between NYC liberal A vs NYC liberal B.
They are desperate to control the primary outcome.
It’ll only be viable someday if people aren’t intimidated away from building it up by believing that they’re handing the demoncrats the election.
