Republican presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani was endorsed Friday by former Los Angeles Mayor Richard Riordan, who warned that he faces a tough time with California voters.
Standing outside his landmark restaurant, The Pantry, where Giuliani was to stop by, Riordan said he believed Giuliani was "too liberal" to appeal to the state's right-wing voters but would make a good president based on his experience as the mayor of New York City.
"He did a fabulous job running New York City and of course in 9-11 he showed that he has the feel of a great leader," Riordan said.
"On the primary, you get this solid, super right-wing group of people who are going to have litmus tests on everything from gun control to abortion to other things. He's going to be hurt there," Riordan said.

Riordan was already on the Giuliani Presidential Exploratory Committee prior, so I don't know why this is "news"
Super right-wingers unite! :-)
With the disaster of the way he ran LA and the huge Rampart lawsuit he left behind. Rudy won’t get much support here.
This ought to be the kiss of death for Giuliani’s candidacy. Riordan also contributed cash money to Gray Davis’ campaign. A bigger RINO doesn’t exist in this universe. And he was a lousy, lousy mayor.
maybe RRRRRRRRRRnold is a bigger RINO
You forgot his endorsement of Tony VivaLaRaza and literally going all out to make the jerk the Mayor
Three strikes he's out
Support is where you find it, I guess. But how much impact and/or influence does a loser have?
Richard Rearend endorses Girliani
Bad news for Rudy but not at all a surprise.
Glad to see that Rudy is sewing up most of the RINO endorsements .
One gun grabber to another.
an LA liberal endorsing a NYC liberal? seems kind of left wing...
actually that is the fact. Guiliani has those few RINOs such as women who are republicans because of husbands. They are really democrats, they don’t care about social issues (or understand) they see Government as a solution despite all the government incompetence and failure.
However they see Guiliani as a “savior from christians”. For them the Republican Party is not a political party, it is a social clique and Guiliani is just their “fancy man.” (bundle of twigs for those in rio linda)

You cannot claim to support equal rights if you do not support equal rights of the preborn child. RINOs are not for equal rights. RINOs worship money over civil rights.
