I live in Bakersfield. I tried watching the City Council meeting last night but couldn’t hold back my gag reflex.
Bakersfield is gone and is close to becoming unlivable.
Noone cares.

Famed labor leader Dolores Huerta, who spoke to city council members, called the defeated resolutions "hateful" and "divisive." In order for an issue about a language to be "divisive" there has to be a second language in question to divide the existing speaking pool. Lacking the influx of illegals, there wouldn't be said second language. It is therefore the Spanish language preference of Ms. Huerta and her ilk that is divisive.
