My wife and I have a wonderful lady who sits for my elderly mother in-law a couple of times a week. This lady also happens to be black and lives near Camden NJ. She told my wife that because she likes to take her 10 year old son to museums and on nature walks and such she and her son are scorned for acting like they are white. Black folks worst enemy these days isn't whitey with a burning cross. They are intent on keeping themselves down.

That’s called ‘crabs in a barrel’ behavior. Nobody makes it out with the others are pulling them back in.

My 89 year old Mom is temporarily in a rehab center that deals with pain management. One of her night nurses is an incredibly handsome and very tall young black man. The other night they were talking and she told him that he should be an actor. He said “NEVER!, their values are not my values”. He’s supposed to be the BEST nurse in the place. From what I can tell he works about 6 days a week and sometimes double shifts.
