Funny how the MSM keep going to that same NRA member (Mr. Petruzzi) to puff up Rudy (Fox quoted him, as well). Why does the media want us to nominate Rudy Giuliani, do you think? Mitt Romney made a big mistake not appearing at the NRA convention.

re: Why does the media want us to nominate Rudy Giuliani

I suspect one or more of them have some really juicy stuff to use against Rudy but they are holding off on it until we are committed and they can do the most damage to Rudy and best serve Hillary.

And, they are really scared of Thompson I think. Not that he is a shoo-in if nominated, but they just don’t have the arsenal to use against him they have against Rudy.

I liken it to a race horse where you have inside info on one of the horses and want to make sure it runs so that you can use your inside info to bet against him.

One thing I know for SURE though is that this is going to be a long, rough race and we are in for some real fireworks before it’s decided next year. Both the primary races and the general election. It’s going to get very nasty and it wouldn’t surprise me for most voters to be turned off by the ferocity of the campaigns, probably enough to be willing to consider some other method of electing a president.

Mitt Romney made a big mistake not appearing at the NRA convention.

What could he say? He still supports gun control laws.

I’m a member of the NRA and I support Fred. If, however, the pubbies nominate Rudy, I’d vote for him over either the bitch or the big eared senator from Illinios.

The ONLY NRA coverage was about the cell phone stunt by guiliani.

it was clintonesque triangulation.

The NYC media pushing the NYC candidate.

The oddest comment I heard outside (about the presidency) of FR was the fact that a person is supporting Fred Thompson BECAUSE HE IS RELATED TO ELVIS!

no joke, REALLY.

Exactly

I’m for Fred, but if it’s rudy, we at least have a chance with him to stop new gun laws.
