Sirocco: A look at the rising storm coming at America from Saudi Arabia
Focal Point USA ^ | September 21, 2007 | Rich Carroll

On September 11, 2001, most Americans were shocked to hear that 15 of the 19 hijackers were from Saudi Arabia. The mastermind of the worst terrorist attack in the history of the United States, Osama bin Laden, was born and raised in Saudi Arabia. Joint Intelligence Report by the U.S. Congress using "incontrovertible evidence" linked Saudi Arabia to the financing of al-Qaeda operatives in the United States.

Saudi Arabia’s involvement in terrorist financing can be documented through materials captured by Israel in Palestinian headquarters in 2002-3 including 70 per cent direct funding to Hamas.

Worst terrorist attack on Americans, or folks who would become Americans, occurred as Arab/Moslem slave-traders sold the ancestors of African-Americans to English, Dutch, Portuguese and French slavetraders.

Outside of Turkish Delight, nothing good has ever been done for America or Americans by Islam.

They’re here. There are fifteen thousand student visas given yearly to Saudi Arabian students. This does not count other countries.

Read this and then see if you can make more smart remarks, which you most likely will but nothing surprises me with some people who are so blinded by hate, inability to care for their fellow man or most of all slothfulness.

I attended military schools with the Saudis in the 70’s. They were everywhere, then, learning our military stuff way back then. They were given special dispensation in that none were ever allowed to fail even if they were dumb as rocks. Not all were. Some were ready and very eager to learn everything we had. Now it’s come back to bite us in the butt.........

GOOD POST. And several of the schools send them on to medical school or law school. I did a bunch of research on this a few years ago. Then it became too too scary.

I don’t think we should address all of Saudi’s problems with one blanket solution. But at the same time, this doesn’t imply that we should not respond strongly to outrages.

To start with, those who finance terror operations should be killed. These include some selected members of the Saud family, who have and continue to support al-Qaeda. In turn, their killing should have plausible deniability, looking like accidents and heart attacks.

After them, should be the systematic take down of Wahabbi clerics, and not just those in Saudi Arabia, who continue to sermonize hatred and violence. Such scoundrels are usually cowards, who when the light dawns that their life expectancy is becoming shorter, they will change their tone in a hurry.

At the same time, there are many things we can to help strengthen the Sufi movement within Saudi, a much less violent group in competition with the Salafist Wahabbis. They have always been “Plan B”, as far as the Saud family are concerned, in case the Wahabbis get too ambitious.

Beyond that, continued engagement will continue to take much of the wind out of the radicals’ sails. And many who come to the US get an introduction to democracy that they take home with them. And every one who decides that democracy is a better way will have a major impact through the entire region.

Contact with Muslim countries was supposedly the reason that slavery, which had been dead in Europe for centuries, revived around the time of the Rennaissance.

Have you taken the time to follow the trail taking place in Dallas? If not, I suggest that all Americans make the time to find information on the trial. Instead of worrying about voting for some TV Show.
