Imported or homegrown - what's the difference?
They're all Californians now.
I dunno about that. It seems like it would be pretty hard to put a gun in a girl’s mouth without knocking a few teeth out and messing up her lips a bit. Unless, of course she let him do it, which seems kind of unlikely.
I mean, the guy is a dirtball and I wouldn’t put it past him, but how does it happen that way?
It probably wasn’t intentional? That a gun was forced into her mouth? And then the trigger was pulled?
How do you accidentally shove a gun into someone’s mouth and accidentally pull the trigger?
Exactly. With enough money to hire enough experts to nitpick every detail, you can buy reasonable doubt. This trial turned into months of testimony about blood splatter theory.
Born there maybe, but raised in LA -- he went to Fairfax High in Los Angeles, the same high school that Jack Kemp went to.
Agreed. I think they were both blotto. The prosecution probably would have got a conviction if the charge was manslaughter.
I've always thought juries should be drawn from a pool of retired volunteers with demonstrable records of life achievement who can also pass a test on civics.
Cut down the idiocy by 95%, anyway.
If there is any lawyer in the country who knows how to get to jury members, it’s Cutler, he’s had a lot of experience in New York.
I wasn’t there. The 2 people who were are either dead or was too drunk to remember anything. Unless Spector remembers the events and someday talks we’ll never know for sure. I don’t believe he sat her down and just shot her but she was obviously shot “somehow” and Spector bears some of the responsibilty-that’s obvious.
Justice sometimes has to wait for the next life, but it will be meeted out.
He ain’t free yet btw, and even if let go, will he ever really be free?
And how many of the jurors already have book contracts lined up?
Don’t get me wrong, I wanna see him get locked up for the rest of his life. But the same people who already had him convicted a day or two ago, are now screaming that he was set-up.
And all you need is one person on his jury who thinks that the police are out to get OJ.
You know that Dianne Feinstein, Babs Boxer and Nanny State Pelosi are ALL from other states, right? As was Joe “Gray” Davis. It drives my husband (a CA native) crazy to hear them called “Californians.”
He’s a rebel!
“I wasnt there. The 2 people who were are either dead or was too drunk to remember anything.”
Wrong again.
The driver was there waiting in his car.
He saw Specter standing in the doorway with the gun in his hand and he said “I think I killed somebody”
Later when police photos were taken, the gun was placed underneath the woman’s left leg.
” I dont believe he sat her down and just shot her but she was obviously shot somehow and Spector bears some of the responsibilty-thats obvious.”
There was a parade of women brought in who told the same story.
That when they told Phil it was time for them to go - they suddenly found a gun being pointed in their faces.
This woman had her purse still on her shoulder.
Probably she - like the others- grabbed her purse and announced she was leaving.
“The driver was there waiting in his car.
He saw Specter standing in the doorway with the gun in his hand and he said I think I killed somebody”
I meant in the room when it happened.
Anyway, you’re probably right. I’m not arguing.
No matter how or who, etc , it’s a darn shame and he will get his judgement, as I said, in this life or the next. You can’t escape His judgement.
It’s just too bad when a case is so obvious as this one is - that they can’t manage to agree on the obvious.
The defense tried to portray her as suicidal.
That still doesn’t explain how she managed to find Specter’s loaded gun in a drawer when she had never been there before.
What a coincidence a lady would kill herself in the home of a guy who’s in the habit of threatening women by waving guns in their faces.
Think of the odds.
Then thank God for Fresno and it’s people.
Lets see you turn that state around.
The Judge may give the Jury the option of finding him guilty of involuntary manslaughter when they come back tomorrow morning.
You will have my unmitigated and enduring respect.
Along with millions of others, I suspect.
Hell, just change from winner takes all to a proportionate share for electors, and the face of the body politic in America will change for decades
