Do you know if there was gunpowder residue found on either one of them?

I don't know why it's so hard for most people to understand that a majority of Californians - and a huge majority of the nutty ones - moved in from other states.

It doesn't matter where they came from, they are all there now.

I won’t be surprised in the least if OJ walks too.

OJ won't have another LA jury, though ... !

I’d be surprised if OJ walks — he’ll be looking at a Vegas jury this time.

I’d LOVE it if his idjit laywer asks for a change of venue out of Vegas and they move his hiney up to Carson City - in the conservative part of the state. I’m not sure of the demographics, but I’m willing to bet he’ll have a hard time getting that all-black jury he’s going to desperately need.

Spector has five, count’em, five lawyers working for him.

Gee, If I was on trial for the same charge right now, they would already be reserving my room on death row.

Must be nice to be a multi-millionaire. You can get away with just about anything, especially in Los Angeles.

Just ask OJ.

Phil Spector is from The Bronx ...as in NEW YORK.

I should have been more specific; I was referring to the jury. And I apologize to all the sane CA FReepers here, I should know better than to generalize.

Sane people tend to get out of jury duty...which is part of the problem.

Sane people also have jobs and cant afford 5 months off of work even if getting paid. Sane people like their jobs and want success. 5 months off in some jobs could be a death warrant in itself.

Their are no lesser options.

you mean they don't have manslaughter available? thats really odd.

From what I've read about his penchant for waving guns at folks, I think he accidentally shot her. I'd convict him of manslaughter, at least, based on my sparse knowledge of the case.

Between mega-million dollar payouts to clumsy fools, and letting obvious murdering celebrities go free, the Jury system in this country today STINKS!

Accepted...the jurors are likely all from New York too.

“I think he’s weird. That said, didn’t he have a white suit on with no blood splattered on it? If so, I go for innocent too.”

Not true.
They showed the suit on tv the other night with blood splatters all over it.

Hell, if I ever kill someone I sure as heck wouldn’t do it in Florida, I would go straight to Ca.

Try that in Kern County.

“When I want to kill myself, I always make a point to go home with some guy who comes into my nightclub and hope he has a loaded handgun.”

And hope you happen upon the right drawer that it’s placed in. In a house you’ve never been to.

Sadly, this telegraphs to the rest of the country ‘if you want to murder someone, come to So Cal. We jurors simply can’t judge anyone here, it’s not PC’. Oh, yeah, and it really helps if you are a celebrity. Even if most people can’t recall what made you famous in the first place.

I’m pretty confident that Phil Spector has no idea what happened that night, and never will.

IMO, the biggest fault in the legal system is that you can get the amount of justice you can afford. If you can keep a trial going for 5 months, you are bound to be able to throw something up that will stick in some juror's mind as "reasonable doubt".

I think he means Californians, as in the dumbasses that make up the jury pool, particularly in Los Angeles.

Get me their names when it's all over and we will find that more than half of them are from somewhere East of St. Louis.

My mistake then. He probably did do it then, knowing his history with guns and John Lennon, Ramones, and others. But, it probably wasn’t intentional, so manslaughter not murder may be more like it. He’ll probably get off though and I’d like to hear the jurors explain how and why they voted.
