Interesting is that the article notes the groups plans pre-date September 11, 2001, pretty much blowing the "Ron Paul Theory of Foreign Policy" right out of the water.

I think the Barbary Pirates should have done that.

entire Islamic world is on the greatest jihad in world history, and, it is not recognized as such by the West,

Islam has been on the warpath for 1400 years; it keeps getting knocked back, but as soon as it feels powerful enough again (in this case, thanks to oil dollars), it attacks.

It doesn't need a provocation. The mere existence of the non-Islamic world is provocation enough, and the Muslims are going to keep at it until we no longer exist and their dark and terrible reign covers the globe.

I don't know what it's going to take to wake us up. From the deny, deny, deny Dems on the left to the Ron Paul fingers-in-their-ears crowd on the right, we have most of our population and politicians wilfully ignoring the open, declared, and already ongoing attack. The Muslims won't even need to use nuclear weapons to attack us. We'll fall from the inside.

“I think the Barbary Pirates should have done that.”

Hell, the conquests of Spain, North Africa, and Greece should have done that.
