I wonder what the record is for putting rounds down range with a semi-auto rifle, changing mags every 30 rounds?

I'll buy a steak dinner for anybody who can get off 600 rounds that way, in a minute. One trigger pull, one shot, no external devices or illegal full-auto mods.

And lets stipulate that all rounds must hit the side of a barn at 100 feet.

I knew a guy who was really, really good at bump-shooting a semi-auto AK. Could empty a 30 round mag in a matter of a few seconds. I guarantee even he couldn’t come close, using drum mags, let alone 30s.

It’s a skill that isn’t worth much, really, but it’s great fun to watch!

I did get a load of brass and a great upper for my AR though in 6.5 Grendel.

Cooking pork chops here, because I could only get ~270 into the side of that barn @100yds.

Not to mention lugging around twenty 30 round magazines to enable the fast switch to keep em coming 600 times in 60 seconds (10 rounds/sec. I dont think I can change twenty empty magazines in one minute, without having to empty them first. :-)
