Standard Good news for the U.S. Military is bad news for the Democrats...
Let thousands of Soldiers die and the left celebrates their political victory...
Shame really that America has come to this...Nothing that our own Sectarian war won’t fix though....

One leftist (KOS/MoveOn/Moonbat type), in a fit of honesty, stated that they pity the military people, in a way, like you “would pity a retarded person”.

This piece needs to be on a front-line “MSM” op-ed page. It is well-crafted, honest and very hard-hitting. I believe there is a serious disconnect between what the democrat politicians believe about American voters, the polls, and what American voters really believe. After seeing and hearing General Petraeus, only hard-core left-wing democrats could believe he misled us all.
I think the democrat party overplayed its hand and will come crashing down in 2008. Thanks be to God.
The democrats in Congress - with very few exceptions - represent a clear and present danger to the national security of the USA.

This political mistake will be remembered.
After such a blunder you can no long conceal youself by claiming support for our troops. Insulting the military that protects our basic freedoms and doing so for political purposes cannot help but give rise to voters saying “Enough is enough.”

During the Xlinton era, we routinely opposed various generals like Weasly Clark. FR also made some flack over other generals.
I don't recall that being considered a bashing of the troops.
Anyway, I'm not agreeing with the MoveOns in any way in their vicious attack on Petraeus. But I don't accept that disagreeing with a general or with the president (say a President Hillary or a President Bill) is a bashing of the troops. We used to bash General Clark and President Xlinton daily on this site over Kosovo and Somalia. And Secretary Les Aspin too.
I recall President Lincoln did some troop-bashing and president-bashing when he was a Whig congressman in opposition to Polk. And he did some general-bashing when president. There are many other examples of this kind of dissent as well.

I think MoveOn's people carve a notch in their keyboards every time we lose a man or woman in uniform. Good news for our Armed Forces is bad news for MoveOn.org, and vice versa. MoveOn.org would have a collective orgasm if the terrorists managed to kill 241 Marines, the way Hezbollah did in Beirut about 20 years ago. Remember, their former friend Michael Moore calls the terrorists "Minutemen."
Eli Pariser = Eli Parasite
(With a name like Pariser, he should have thought twice before starting a schoolyard name calling contest.)
