Your Rights end where my nose begins.

Your rights end where my property line begins. Even if you stick your nose into it.

Many landlords are now prohibiting smoking as when the smoker leaves, it costs much more money to rid the carpets, curtains, etc, of the smell of stale smoke.

Thats fine. The landlords OWN the property, so they can do as they wish. But its a different story when you have the city council arbitrarily doing it to all property owners.

Don’t bother posting back to me

Who do you think you are? Arthur McGowan?

The ban isn’t on single family homes. It is only enforced if someone complains about it in a multi-family dwelling.

So if I don’t smoke, and the smoke is coming into my apartment and I get sick from it, I can complain and the ban can be enforced.

If no one complains, no problem.

I think it just means don’t let the smoke get through the ventilation system and you’ll be fine.

The patterned the law like noise laws. You can listen to music as loud as you want until someone complains about it.
