A truck carrying more than 25 tons of dynamite exploded Monday in northern Mexico, killing at least 30 people and injuring more than 100, according to Notimex, Mexico's official news agency.
Three Mexican reporters were among those killed, the report said.
Video footage showed the burned-out, mangled shell of the truck and nearby cars damaged by the blast.
The explosion happened at a factory near Monclova -- about 125 miles (200 kilometers) northwest of Monterrey -- in the Mexican state of Coahuila, the report said.
The cause of the blast is under investigation, but Notimex reported that there is no indication of foul play.

Was this truck coming from a dynamite factory? If so, it could be just a VERY LOUD industrial accident.
” “Notimex reported that there is no indication of foul play?” “
FNC just reported a massive explosion in Mexico “terror related, sabotaged”
Same incident??
50,000 lbs. of dynamite would leave a biggish (!) crater, not “mangled remains.” I suspect that part’s a mistake.
Meanwhile, FNC is reporting explosions occurring in Mexico are related to sabotage. Unclear whether the two stories are related.
“At least the truck wasnt north of the border, yet.”

Can’t wait till we start seeing those headlines.
Unless someone was trying to hide the disappearance of a large part of that load.
” Unclear whether the two stories are related. “
Apparently different stories —
6 oil pipeline explosions in Southern Mexico is sabotage...
1 big explosion in northern Mexico is accidental....
FNC reporting six explosions of Mexico’s oil pipelines. Those are suspected to be sabotage.
Explosions reported at pipelines in Mexico
MEXICO CITY (AP) Several explosions ripped apart pipelines for Mexico's state oil monopoly early Monday, the company said. There were no injuries.
Mexican state oil monopoly Petroleos Mexicanos, or Pemex, issued a statement saying it believed the explosions were sabotage. Government officials said 12,000 people had been evacuated.
A small, left-wing guerrilla group claimed to have attacked a major Pemex gas pipeline in July and at least a dozen major companies, including Honda Motor Co., Kellogg Co. and The Hershey Co., were forced to suspend or scale back operations.
Dry run?
One second difference. You are good.
So reporters were there BEFORE the blast. What were they reporting on? Doesn't sound right to me.
Oops. I forgot to excerpt that. It’s USA Today. Apologies. Please delete needed.
Hmmm, is this a case like in a war zone where reporters are invited by someone to scoop an upcoming "special news event"?
Publicity is essential for terrorism.
But never mind. There was no "indication of" foul play here. Yet. /conspiracy theory mode off
” One second difference. You are good. “
;~)
But you’ll always be the “Hurricane Hero”, NN.... ;~)
Ping.
Remember, early reports are often wrong.
Head on a swivel, assume the worst until proven otherwise, look for corroboration before making committing decisions, don’t just be calm, spread calm.
The Mexico long haul trucks just made their first deliveries in NY and SC. Teamsters and Sierra Club have been vocal and persistent with their protests.
