This is a video of Kucinich in Syria - for some reason - where he gives an interview condemning the 'occupation' of Iraq by the U.S. The transcript is for those of us who cannot sit through the entire video interview.
Strange times we live in when a presidential candidate woos voters by going very, very close to enemy territory so he can publicly and vehemently disagree with military policy.
On the other hand, Kucinich finally found an audience who supports his U.S. foreign policy initiative. Of course, they are in Syria, so they technically cannot vote, and some narrow-minded people think some of those guys are aiding and abetting the enemy...but the point is, they get it, people! They understand Kucinich. They love Kucinich. And that is what matters. If we have to be taxed so we can pay 'reparations' in order to maintain that love - and maybe fund some weaponry for future slaughter -- then we'll gladly do it. Peace at any price, people. The US has no enemies, just misunderstood friends in need of hugs and money.

Ok... so let me set this straight. We go into Iraq, depose the bloodthirsty madman in charge, liberate the people, let them have elections, use bazillions of American taxpayers money to rebuilt their country, offer them jobs, refurbish their infrastructure and economy, train their security forces...
and Kookynuts wants us to pay reperations.

Kucinich: "I crafted my peace plan with the help of people who served in the U.N., including peace-keeping missions over the years, who understand that not only must we stabilize Iraq, but we also must pay reparations to the people of Iraq for the great human tragedy that has been caused." And just what the hell is the $100B/month we're spending on this damned reconstruction, and the blood shed by their damned insurgents? We're propping up a government squabbling like a bunch of two-year-olds.
If it weren't for Al Qaeda, I'd say we've discharged our obligation to Iraq, and to hell with them.

When I see pictures of Dennis K., I can’t help but notice his small head size and conclude his tiny brain-pan is incompatible with normal intelligence. Hasn’t stopped him from being an also-ran presidential candidate, though. What a country!

Paul supports reparations to Iraq? Please provide a link of him advocating this or STFU.

I like the part where Syria and Iran help broker peace between the Sunnis, Kurds, and the Shiites. I am sure they’d both act selflessly and solely in the interest of peace.

I don’t have a problem with reparations, as long as they come out of tht oil money that we’ll reap when we let Halliburton run the wells and sell the product. 10% of net should pay them back well enough, say 10% more for the company running it and the rest to the US for the costs involved in liberating, repairing and protecting the oil fields.

I strongly suspect the linkage is more closely associated to contracting mechanisms where the Congressman is encouraging some deep pocket pay incredibly large sums of money to foreign recipients and in return he and his party are empire building elsewhere without accountability.
One way to stop this is to mandate all the his constituents foot the bill first, as well as finance reparations for all the damages caused by Iraq since the first Gulf War. Then we’ll see how well the voting public supports his views.

This chump, who is also a card carrying member of Congress ought to consider paying reparations to the entire country for the political damage that he has done, and is so intent on doing to our Nation.
It stymies me that such an A$$hole could garner enough votes from civilized people to actually hold an Office that should be considered as “prestigious.”

The GOP is rolling over and playing dead in Dennis the K’s district (and mine, in fact). He gets a ton of union money.
Between the Cleveland auto business failing and the growth of wealthy suburbs in District 10, he SHOULD be toast in 2008, and back to channeling Lenin with Shirley MacLaine.

I happen to think that the little gremlin needs to pay reparations to the city that he darned near ran into bankruptcy! Wasn't that Cincinnati? I can't remember off hand. But I seem to recall him being a complete failure at that, so of course, given the peter principal, he's elected to a federal office!
Geez!

We free the country from a vicious dictator, setting the stage for the first free elections in the country's history. We defend it from its enemies --
al-Qaeda, Iran and Syria.
And Kucinich says we should pay fo rthe privilege.
Just like a Democrat. The U.S. is always wrong. But, more dangerously, the enemy is always right.
