There have been a number of changes in Boston in the last couple of years, particularly in regards to affirmative action and the police and fire. The thing with Boston is, if you are from there, you really don’t want to leave.
I did, it was tough, but I’m glad.

I’ve also noticed that if you are from Boston, the rules are pretty flexible. If you aren’t, even the smallest rule can be brought to bear on you.
I had friends graduate from top post-grad institutions and decide to move back to the Boston area.
It’s almost like they’re all Southies at heart.
