Judging from the hysterical and factually selective hit pieces from the anti-Romney crowd today, I would say that the WaPo has it right: Romney has momentum and it's scaring the daylights out of some.

Momentum until people see the video of Mitt espousing pro-abortion stance, coming out in favor of gay scoutmasters, banning guns, and imposing new Affirmative Action nonsense on employers:

Oh, and distancing himself from Ronald Reagain -— as Romney “did not like those times” or what was happening under Reagan.

Romney’s certainly campaigning well, and showing plenty of stamina. But I’m waiting for Fred.

Unfortunately for flip flop political hack Milt there are tons of tapes of his past readily available

At this point no one is really paying attention to the political race but political junkies

When the primaries start it is a whole new ball game

Doesn't change the facts.

His history is Pro Abortion, Pro "special" Homosexual rights, anti Reagan policies, Pro adding Federal Regulations in the workplace to enforce anti "Glass Ceiling" practices....

The real Mitt Romney?

Security. Unity. Prosperity.

I posted this article yesterday here , before it was given the present headline. Author was different as well. The point about Thompson having no events is incorrect, he was campaigning in Iowa.

Mitt Romney is the hands-down best salesman in the Republican field of candidates.

Which is why I'd like to see him run as VP and pitch Fred for Prez.

Another RINO who can’t win in the general election because conservatives would rather sit home and endure four years of hillary if thats what it takes to remind the GOP to respect their base.

I'm learning the man has no core-values except to match his core-values to those of his intended audience.

I had an open mind about Mitt because I only know he was elected as a Republican in the most liberal state in the union.

Now, I see how. ..yes, people do change.

...but it its always around election time.

I'm off the Mitt wagon and onto the Duncan Hunter wagon.

Judging from the hysterical and factually selective hit pieces from the anti-Romney crowd today, I would say that the WaPo has it right: Romney has momentum and it's scaring the daylights out of some. Or wishful thinking from a leftwing pub. Romney is doing well in 4 or 5 states. It's the other 45 where his problem is going to be.

Fred cutting and running from the debate only deepens my suspicion that his is just a good reader of lines written by others, an empty suit.

But then perhaps he is going on Leno to say he isn’t running. It would be funny to see how some people would react to that.

The thing that is so incredibly stupid about attacking Mitt Romney is the fact that if Fred Thompson stays in the race until the end, the ticket will more than likely consist of Thompson and Romney.

If I was Mitt Romney and the WAPO started saying nice things about me, that would be time for me to start worrying.

But then, I'm not Mitt Romney; but I did stay in a Holiday Inn Express last night.

I disagree. They Fear the Fred, and they would love to have an easy target like Mitt to run against.

I have little doubt that the GOP nomination will be between Fred and Mitt.

Thompson joined with McCain to repeal the First Amendment. And Thompson's abortion record is suspect (lobbied for an anti-life group). That eliminates those two from my consideration. Ghouliani is wrong on so many issues that he gets eliminated also. Huckabee, Hunter, and the others just don't have the money or support needed to win.

Romney is the man.
