These events send significant messages to those who may be, at this very moment, carrying out the sadistic orders of the region's tyrannical despots. They have to be thinking "what if the one who is giving the orders now is overthrown, isn't this precisely what will happen to me?"
It is hard not to see great psychological value in these hangings, not only for the sense of justice engendered in the Iraqi populace (OK, mainly Shia) but also as a deterrent to other despotic urges in the region.

I understand that an emergency appeal has been filed with Texas governor Perry. He sympathizes with innocent abettors of crimes as he recently demonstrated.

Yes, but they better not have any of this “Muktadr al-Sadr!”, “Muktadr al-Sadr!” business of yelling when the floor drops.

But you see, according to the liberal socialist democrats, this massacre never occurred. There were no weapons of mass destruction and there were no chemical/biological agents. Doesn’t fit in with the moonbat mantra.

I always wondered how many of Saddam (and Uday, et al’s) look alikes were executed/assassinated after the original creeps were caught/killed. They would have known details “on the inside” and many did not choose that life but were drafted for the positions under threat of force.
Who knows what they saw or even knew about everything from weapons programs (when someone talked to them who shouldn’t have) to the way they people/things were hidden from the public (e.g. Saddam’s spider hole).

My first day back to school, I have a cold, had to get up early drive through construction, wait for a bus that was one hour late. At least there was something today that made me smile. I hope they make the rope good and short so he can know the feeling of gasping for air.
