Algore is a lousy politician. But he's a genius at self-promotion and knows how to make a lot of money - off a veritable hoax.

I guess its lost on the author that Gore manages to clearly state what he (and other liberals) think of common people who eat at Shoney’s. Obviously one must sink very low to eat at an affordable restaurant like Shoney’s in the company of ordinary peons.

Unlike Dan Quayle and even Walter Mondale, who fell into obscurity after their vice presidential days, and in the case of Mondale, after a disastrous defeat for the Presidency in 1984, it appears that Gore is being rewarded by wealthy liberals for his role in promoting the global climatic change fiasco. The Clintons sucked up all the soft money and the under the table funds that flowed in during their administration. (Do you really think Bill Clinton gave away the amount of technology to the Chinese that he did for a few hundred thousand dollars in campaign contributions?) The Gores were probably not much better off financially after the Vice Presidency than they had been when Al was in the Senate.
Getting your wealth through rich, liberal friends is a Gore family tradition. His father, Al Gore, Sr., benefited very well from his long association with Armand Hammer, whose leftist inclinations are well known.

"I have really enjoyed the business world much more than I expected," Well, if you get millions in stock options for doing essentially nothing, whats not to like?
