Taliban Tortured South Korean Hostages as Punishment for Refusing to Convert to Islam

ANYANG, South Korea, Sept. 2 (Yonhap) -- A pastor at the South Korean church whose volunteers were held hostage for six weeks by Afghanistan's Taliban said some of the captives were "severely beaten" by the insurgents when they refused to convert to Islam.

The 19 former hostages, freed in stages last week under a deal between the South Korean government and the Taliban, arrived on a flight from Dubai on Sunday morning. Earlier, the Islamic militants had killed two male hostages but freed two females.

Remember that next time an Islamic apologist tells you that there is no compulsion in Islam.

Getting the South Koreans severely angered could be a major problem for the Taliban - there’s nothing more dangerous than a really mad ROK Marine!

John 15:18-27

Jesus Christ:

“If the people of this world hate you, just remember that they hated me first.

If you belonged to the world, its people would love you. But you don’t belong to the world. I have chosen you to leave the world behind, and that is why its people hate you.

Remember how I told you that servants are not greater than their master. So if people mistreat me, they will mistreat you. If they do what I say, they will do what you say.

People will do to you exactly what they did to me. They will do it because you belong to me, and they don’t know the one who sent me.

If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not be guilty of sin. But now they have no excuse for their sin.

Everyone who hates me also hates my Father.

I have done things that no one else has ever done. If they had not seen me do these things, they would not be guilty. But they did see me do these things, and they still hate me and my Father too.

That is why the Scriptures are true when they say, “People hated me for no reason.”

I will send you the Spirit who comes from the Father and shows what is true. The Spirit will help you and will tell you about me.

Then you will also tell others about me, because you have been with me from the beginning.”

And, we have Dean telling our own local US members of the murder/death cult that they need to organize and run for political offices.

[2:256] There is NO compulsion in religion: The right way has been made to stands out clear from the wrong way: whoever rejects evil and believes in GOD has grasped the most trustworthy hand-hold, that never breaks. GOD hear and knows all things.

Who would be. Now, if they had been treated respectfully, allowed to keep their Bibles, gather and pray together, etc... THAT would be surprising...

It also has about as much chance of happening as pigs flying.

islam is a Cancer. Its adherents must either reject its violence and koranic instructions to do violence to non-muslims or they, too, must be excised along with the "religion" they submit to.

For humanity to survive, there is no other option.

And they think torturing someone would want to make them join their religion why?

Thanks that most are back.
And prayers for their healing, and prayers to those who lost loved ones.

They are brave, and they took our Lord's command, to bring the Gospel to the world, to heart ("...ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth...")

May God Bless them and keep them.
He will wash away all tears, and heal all wounds.

Could not this whole mess be seen as the chance, symbiotic meshing of Christian martyr masochists and avenging Islamic sadists? These Korean women were led by the Lord to undertake such a showy, risky mission?

If I’m understanding things correctly, the Korean group was not too much different from some of the Mt. Everest tourists whose souls wafted up “Into Thin Air” in May, 1996, as documented by Jon Krakauer. Short-term Missionaries, or Christian adventure tourists- what would you call ‘em?
