Is it a political system?
Is it a religion?
Is it both of these?
The answer to those questions determines if islam is an actual threat to the very Constitution you swore to protect and defend.
The Bill of Rights is there to protect you from the government, not from another religion .
You are correct in this statement in as far as religion is concerned. Reconsider your answers to my first 3 questions and does/is islam a religion?

Islam is fiirst and foremost....a religion and THAT is why it must be protected in the U.S.
Just so happens that a big part of Islam addresses how followers are supposed to live their lives in accordance with the religion. Do this. Don’t do that. Give of yourself. Don’t live materially.
Sounds familiar.... These are the good things in Islam....but just as with some religious political movements in the U.S. that try to regulate my behaviors that they deem as “bad” by legislating them, it does not belong in the U.S. government or ANY free government. I don’t care if we have muslims IN our government, but I do care if they try to legislate my behaviors.
Before anyone goes there. I also know of the violent passages in the Qu’ran. I also know of violent passages in other religious books too. Difference is, certain other religions have reformed....something Islam needs to do to bring it past the 17th century.
