Why don’t they ever just apologize, something like “ I apologize for thinking that I am more important than anyone else. I acted like a jerk, please forgive me”. No excuses for their bad behavior just take responsibility.

Interesting alliteration—”probe”—given the context. I like it!!!!!

Me thinks the good Senator Craig was doing a little probing of his own.

Put him on the do-not-fly list.

The MSM is focusing on the pushing and shoving aspect, and ignoring the part about being in a restricted part of the airport. To me, that's the more serious charge.

(Repeal the 17th amendment -- it's the "Fairness Doctrine" for Congress!)

“I was tired after a delayed flight and frustrated by the subsequent further delay of the entire flight’s baggage. But I did not want things to turn out as they did, with offense obviously taken and much misunderstanding,” the statement said.
“This is an episode that I regret and hope to move beyond.”
Where is the apology. Doesn’t sound like he was sorry for his behavior but more upset the worker took offense to his behavior.
The first part sounds like his justification for his actions.
Another non apology.
