Galina Dzhugashvili, a granddaughter of Soviet dictator Josef Stalin who challenged widely accepted accounts of her father's internment at a Nazi prison camp, has died in Moscow, a hospital official said Tuesday. She was 69.

Galina Dzhugashvili claimed accounts of her father's death in a Nazi prison camp were false

Dzhugashvili died Monday evening at Burdenko military hospital after a struggle with cancer, acting hospital chief Vladimir Nekrasov said.

Stalin, whose original surname was Dzhugashvili, ruled the Soviet Union with an iron fist until his death in 1953. Tens of millions of people were executed or deported to prison camps under his rule."

Hmmmm ..... how did that paragraph sneak into a CNN story??

I'm sure she was stunning before the cancer.

They accidentally left out part of a sentence--it should have read: "Tens of millions of people were executed or deported to prison camps under his rule by neocons seeking to discredit his leadership."

Actually, if you were to do a Google image search on “Stalin’s great-granddaughter” you might find a picture more to your liking.

As a WWII buff, I was interested in what Stalin’s granddaughter had to say about what happened to her father. It is one of those little mysteries that we may never know the whole truth about.

But since she isn’t pretty, you decide to ridicule her. That says a lot about you. And damn little about her.

Yes. It says that I ridicule women that aren't pretty, and it says that she isn't pretty. It's not a statement designed to provide WWII history. And I don't see how my view of how pretty she is hindered your quest for knowledge. You could have saved a lot of ink by simply saying, "You're a jerk." I'd be okay with that.
