Its a private group. I oppose government dictating what adults can read and watch but I have no difficulty with private groups like the Lighted Candle Society doing what they can to curtail the spread of porn in our society.

It's not Nanny State: it's enforcement of laws designed to prevent and punish objective harms done to a community, And Dr. Reisman is just the one to catalogue and analyze the objective harms, having served as an expert witness in many cases where childen were targetted by sex predators.

If Islamofascists were using the Internet to advocate, plan, share information, and collaborate on acts of danger to your city, you would not, I think, allow them to use the shield of free speech, or say that suppressing their criminal activities was offensive to American liberties.

If you don't want your little children to be stalked, molested, and raped, you have to take legal action, bringing the sex sickoes before a jury which will convict only if they are convinced by evidence of responsibility and harm.

If Meese’s group sues porn producers and importers, that’s not nanny-state big gov’t. Many porn sites from overseas feature underage models who in some cases are sex slaves.
