The standard of “What Makes Good TV” and the standard of evidence required in court are two very different things. NBC is recklessly ruining lives without meeting any kind of an objective standard.

NBC is recklessly ruining lives...

That is nonsense. The perps are ruining their OWN lives by their bad behavior.

"NBC is recklessly ruining lives without meeting any kind of an objective standard."

========================

Though I've never watched the show it would seem to me these men recklessly ruined their own lives.

Do you think that the people showing up to supposedly molest a minor are responsible for ruining their own lives?

NBC is recklessly ruining lives

NBC doesn't drive to their houses and make them send pictures of their penises to people they think are 13 year-old girls. Those men do it willingly. I don't know how you can "entrap" someone into sending you a picture of their penis.

“NBC is recklessly ruining lives...”

Anybody who shows up at a house expecting sex with young teens deserves to have their life ruined.

“NBC is recklessly ruining lives without meeting any kind of an objective standard.”

I’m loathe to defend NBC about anything, but come on...the only fault here in the “ruined lives” department is that of the perverts that were actively trying to pick up underage kids to have sex with.

I never understood why the faces weren't blurred out.

OTOH, if you show up at a strange place to have sex with a minor, you shouldn't be shocked at what you find, including a sting operation.

Lord knows I HATE men like the ones "captured" on the dateline series....I hate everything about them.....

but I don't think its right to show them on tv when they haven't actually done anything yet....I believe that men as a rule are impulsive and some if not many of these guys wouldn't do this thing that openly if they just thought about....

its a shameful explotation.....
