I have been praying for them since I heard of their plight, but I have to admit I haven't thought to pray for them in the last few days. My son was recently diagnosed with cancer and all of us here have been absorbed in praying for him. But I will begin praying again for their safe release.

My own daughter is a missionary who is currently serving at her mission orgs American office. but she has previously served overseas in Africa and eastern European former com-bloc countries. As a missionary's father I can certainly sympathize with the parents of those Korean girls who have put their lives on the line for their Lord.

Another example of our weakened state. There was a time when the heathen knew better than to mess with a Christian missionary because they realized they’d pay a terrible price. Todays Christian community is so mixed up about this aspect of their responsibility. They need only look at the life of King David, a man after Gods own heart. He had no patience with the enemies of his kingdom. He dealt quickly, decisively and brutally with them when they “misbehaved”. A tactic that the Lord approved of. Now we are beginning to understand why. There is no place within Christianity for pacifism. We must break away from waging our wars in accordance with the evil U.N. Charter. We need a much stronger and aggresive military and not be afraid to use it. So that these kinds of tragic things don’t happen to our dedicated missionary’s. They have a job that needs to be done and they can’t do it because we are too cowardly and selfish to back them up. DD

May Almighty God heal your son and make him whole. May He also grant you and your family strength and all else you need. I ask this in Jesus’ Holy Name, Amen.
