Same here. I stopped listening and watching several months ago. O'Reilly is so full of himself he is hallucinating. He is the rudest individual I have heard on any media forum. He is quite intelligent and insightful but his manner is too much for me.

I see this as the classic tendency of those of liberal heart to project. Haters call people they hate haters.

Kristinn was great last night. He defended us well against Bill O'Bloviator who has no clue what goes on in these parts.

While we have plenty of pound the RATS unmercifully threads, I'm constantly amazed by the non-political threads ranging from why Firefly was an awesome show (thanks folks for getting me to watch it this time around) to mind-numbing physics that lose me after the first sentence and all matters in between. O'Bloviator obviously only saw what he wanted to see so he could play crusading TV host against the hate-filled blogosphere. He's a putz.

And that brings me to something that O'Bloviator has no clue about which made his comments all the more ignorant and self-serving: there is a strong, poster-enforced non-profanity etiquette on Freerepublic. Strong comments, yes. Sarcastic and biting comments, yes. Nuclear rants, yes. Double entendres and the like, yes. Profanity, no. That says an awful lot about the posters and the site.

In case you're wondering, this is a big point with me because to be totally honest, if it weren't for that etiquette, my posts would be laced with profanity at times because of how steamed I get over issues. However, I respect the etiquette and express myself differently because of it even when I'd like to just write ~!@#$%^&* and also ~!@#-~@!#$%. In bold. In 20 point type.

So again, great job Kristinn! As far as I'm concerned:

Freepers    1
O'Bloviator    0

If the Pompous Populist found something offensive on FR,
it’s probably because he had a troll put it here.

On the other hand, it’s easy to see why BoR has it in
for FR. A lot of readers here see him for exactly what
he is, a bloviating buffoon.

BOR is an insecure MSM twit. I don’t think he cares one bit about left or right, he only cares that a lot of folks with keyboards can reach out and b!tch slap him when needed.

He is only trying to drum up support for a Fairness Doctrine for the internet. IMHO

My local station dumped Shaun in favor of O’Reilly.

That’s like taking away a bowl of boring gruel and replacing it with a plate of steaming turds.

After listening yesterday to O’Reilly defending hate crimes (thought crimes) I’m more convinced than ever that this blowhard is a fascist. The man is so insufferably stupid that he doesn’t realize that hate crimes are the legal contrivance of communists and Nazis in the 1930s.

Oreilly is about as quick on his feet as Cassius Marcellus Clay Jr.
The slow witted buffoon does some good things though, so we shouldn't be too hard on him.

"it’s especially suspicious since he says the posts just went up ..... suggests a set-up, either by leftoid drones or maybe a BOR junior staffer who wanted to set the boss up for his attack-segment."

IF the O'reilly show produces the links to the posts they claim they found(I read that they were going to on another thread), I would love for the FR tech guru to see where the posts originated from. IP addresses can be traced. It would be very interesting to see if they came from a FNC facility. Such a thing would be the best thing since Dan Rather. I'm sure they would have been smarter than that, but it would still be interesting to take a look at.

Thanks for the post. I haven’t been on FR as long as some, I became a poster in 2003, but I did lurk for a year and a half before that. In that period of time I have NEVER seen vitriolic speech posted like the examples he gave. NEVER! I have seen ugly things said but every single time that comment is removed by the moderator and if it passes the moderators eyes other posters make sure they address what that person has said. Thank you kristinn for being the conservative warrior that you are. :) You did well, sorry that BOR didn’t let you speak without interrupting you frequently.

“Cassius Marcellus Clay Jr”

Watched him fight Sonny Listin in the early ‘60’s.

Can’t believe I just admitted that....

Yes, I agree. Worse things are said about Giuliani than are ever said about Blacks or homosexuals. In fact at the top of the page when you come to posts there is a whole series of Giuliani bashing called "Giuliani Truth File."

Does TrueBlackMan still post? If so we need to get him back on Fox. He nearly gave Colmes an Aneurysm and could easily take on BOR.

Pith on ‘him.

Very well stated, for Bo himself tells his audience to keep it pithy.
So, I will join you in saying to BO, pith on you and your so called , show??

I really wonder what the chance of finding something the Bloviator finds objectionable is on any half hour read here at FR. Is it even one percent? From what I've seen at the leftwing sites a similar half hour read (I would guess, if one could stand it.) would almost always discover objectionable material.

The Bloviator should know that none of us here advocate feeding huge quantities of eggs to people on the national scene with whom we have political differences so that they might get heart disease and die. We don't want our political enemies dead. We want their political ideas to die. There is a difference.

It would be nice if Drudge would check in to how the comments Bill made about FR were taken out of context.

Or I should have said the comments on FR that Bill took out of context.

O’Reilly is trying to appear “fair and balanced” by criticising conservative websites as well as the liberal ones. But in the process, the truth is obscured because FR is not comparable to the Daily Kos—not even close.
