Apparently almost a million British citizens have left the country since 2000, to live somewhere else. Last year, according to the Office for National Statistics, 380,000 people left Britain, of whom about 200,000 were British citizens. We live in an age of mass migration. It wouldn’t surprise me if many of those emigrating lived abroad for a few years before returning home. Furthermore, many Brits emigrate to sunny areas of the world for retirement. It would be interesting to see how many of those emigrating are under 50-60.
