The people that I know who are leaving the UK are doing so simply because they can afford better housing in places such as Australia.

I know several folks that traded up also.

My acquaintances just moved to a different neighborhood though.
Moving 8000 miles never entered their minds.

Well, British people have a history of moving to other Commonwealth countries for a better standard of living. In the 1960s many left for Australia. The standard of living in the UK is often lower than these countries. But I’m proud to be British and will never my country.
