- That’s all very reassuring - except for the content of the news story that our postings here are based on, which outlines all the evidence leading to what will undoubtedly be a popular bug out announcement by Brown. We shouldn’t have long to wait to see.
Brown is now in Washington and, dollars to donuts, the meeting will conclude with Brown making some squishy statement that Britain’s presence in Iraq is, “under review” followed, as soon as he can get back home, by a bug out announcement, oops, I mean “phased withdrawal”.
The BBC will then give him the full Monica which should see him coast home in the next election.
Thanks for the reply.
Well, this news story is nothing but speculation-and speculation actively denied by the UK government. As I mentioned earlier in the thread, the same edition of The Times has a full spread report on how the US military was planning how to pull out of Iraq without having people hanging onto helicopter as they did in Saigon. By your logic, I should now ignore all US government statements that they are to ‘stay the course’, because the evidence given in that article says otherwise?
If Brown was to say that UK troop numbers were under review, he would have said it by now surely to aid his popularity?
- The above is an extract from a reply that I sent you on July 30th., with regard to my prediction that Brown can’t wait to boost his popularity at home and show just how he differs from Blair by announcing a pull out from Iraq. Well, according to news reports - see http://www.guardian.co.uk/Iraq/Story/0,,2143879,00.html, he has waited about one week to begin the process. Even I thought he would give it at least two weeks before beginning his crawl. All the Islamofascists back home in England will be pleased to see that their campaign of blackmail bombing has succeeded.
