Mobility and speed at getting to the site of a breaking story sometimes leads to a sparring competition even as the various reporting agencies approach.

That statement is a projection of your imagination. There is NO "sparring competition" in the air between helicopter news crews. Trust me.

Except what I mentioned above, which involved a personality issue, I have always really liked the news helicopter pilots in Phoenix. Some of the best stories have been about some of the pilots who decided to help out when someone was lost and end up being the rescuer.
