ALEXANDRIA, Va. -- A man once accused of aiding the Taliban with a U.S. group that trained with paintball guns was sentenced Tuesday to 10 years in prison for lying to authorities about training with militants in Pakistan.
Under normal sentencing guidelines, Sabri Benkahla would have received at most a three-year term for his convictions this year on charges of lying to a grand jury, obstruction of justice and making a false statement.

Then 10 years from now we can hang him.
So if he had just taken the Fifth, there wouldn’t have been a case against him?
Times have changed since you and me use to play with those bb guns;)
He’s lucky. His buds got 20 years each on plea bargains.
Despite the squealing and whining of CAIR and the local Dar al Hijra mosque of Falls Church, every single last one of the many junior jihadis accused of terrorist crimes here in Northern Virginia has been convicted and sent to the federal pen with big jailtime. To my knowledge not a single one has squeezed his way out or been released or acquited.
You have to give the FBI and federal prosecutors much credit for many jobs very well done.
Of course they have a very rich vein of al Qaeda symps over in Skyline and embedded in the little neighborhoods near the mosque on Rt. 7.
Dang, they threw the book at him - Bill Clinton didn't even get that much for the same stuff!
The Fifth is the way of the spineless infidel pig, whereas lying through your teeth in defense of Islam and Mighty Mo (taquiya) is a blessing.
Even if you're such a blithering dolt that your lies cause even hardened FBI agents to snicker.
Also I'd guess the federal judges at Alexandria Court have long been sensitized to taquiya by Moussouai, who told multiple whoppers so often that they thought he might be insane.
In the end they decided he was just another lying POS Muslim and threw him into Florence ADX (Supermax) with his other nutso cronies.
Ya think?

My bow and arrow would have done a lot more damage then my Daisy ... more accurate too
Had one arrow go through the neighbors patio roof,Dad was not pleased;)
Poor headline by the WP, IMO. My first thought was that some punk shot or threatened someone with a paintball gun, and was charged under a terror statute.
A better headline would be:
Ex-Taliban Trainee Sentenced in Terror Case
(Yeah, yeah, I know - it's the WP, so whaddid ya expect?)
Early 1990s, iirc. Minnesota, maybe?
