Polensek is a hero as far as I am concerned. “Telling it like it is” takes courage in today’s PC world. I hope this councilman doesn’t get into trouble.

The article included the line where the councilman called the kid “dumber than mud,” but I noticed it left out the part where the mother said that line was racist. She said, and I’m not joking, that because mud is black and dirty, calling him “dumber than mud” was racist. Yep.

Personally, I think the best line was “crack dealing piece of trash,” but sort of surprisingly, the councilman has gotten a very warm reception from the folks in Cleveland over this letter. People are just sick of crime.

I love it! That should be a form letter sent to similar thugs. He obviously meant that he’ll either end up in jail or dead from his own activities...not by Mr. Polensek’s hand. Reading comprehension doesn’t appear to be a strong suit for the mother. Why am I not surprised.

The best part of this story was in the Plain Dealer yesterday: “She also complained that the letter referred to Winston as ‘dumber than mud,’ which she considers a racist remark because mud is black and dirty.” Needs do do some work on her self-image.
