An Open Letter to Mr. Walter B. Jones

An Open Letter to Mr. Walter B. Jones:

To all who hear these presents...

Greetings.*

Mr Walter Jones didn’t keep his word to a friend of mine. One Mr.Tim Harrington, a Veteran Sergeant of Marines and a Massachusetts businessman and artisan. An email or phone call of appreciation to the good Lt Commander would’ve been appropriate, as well, Mr. Jones. He stayed up all night ensuring that you received that material as expeditiously as possible, and as was agreed upon. After more than 36 hours, an acknowledgement has yet to be received from you or your office. Common courtesy goes a long way, coming from a public servant. On two accounts in less than 24 hours, you’ve shown exceeding disrespect for us, Mr. Jones. That’s not a good way to begin an acquaintance.

For the moment, for a day or two, we’re giving you the benefit of the doubt, Mr. Jones. You’re a busy man, after all. We did share a lot of info with you - at your request. It will take you some time to browse through it. Hundreds and even thousands of pages...and we’ve only just begun... It is info about the Haditha case that no one else has assembled, including original documents, official documentation, personal, phone and email interviews and interactions, audio, and more. It is our contention that this factual and independently verifiable information exonerates the Haditha Marines, the Pendleton Eight, and exposes rampant legal and ethics violations throughout the military justice system. We have also shared the entirety of this research with other Americans around the nation. It is a massive and damning amount of data.

...but we are doing our research, Mr. Jones. We, The American People, are watching. We are waiting. For a Republican Congressman, your reputation is a bit, shall we say...colorful. ;O)

Give Mssr’s. Delahunt and Kennedy our greetings. Mr Delahunt and his staff have been well aware of this material for quite some time, now.

I do thank you all for your time and consideration..

Now, back to your regularly scheduled programming.

(*Respect works both ways, boys and girls. You might wanna buy a vowel, there.)

(BCC’d to the Marines - and a very few friends - I ask those among you to share this open letter freely with the general public.)

S.

Walter Jones is an embarassment to Northeastern North Carolina. And there is no strong conservative candidate on the horizon to oppose him.

You can say that again...

Here’s some info for those that don’t know him, that won’t incorporate any choice words on my part:

Yes there is. Onslow County Commissioner Joe McLaughin has already announced that he will oppose him. I wouldn’t be surprised if he beats him in the primary. Jones was right on immigration, but his stance on the Iraq war has REALLY upset many people in Eastern NC.

Walter Jones was the FIRST and for a long time the ONLY member of Congress to call for a federal investigation of the corrupt mess in Durham, NC (another Phenix City).

The other 434 were too PC to speak up.

(And Obama was—and still remains—the ONLY senator to do the same.)

The Duke lacrosse frame was the biggest test of civil rights in decades; and virtually NO ONE in Congress could be seen for dust. They all played it safe.

So whatever other faults these two may have, I will still give them one day off from hell each year, in recognition...

Walter Jones should know there are no U.S. Code violations in the Nifong case. It is a State of North Carolina matter where it is currently being properly handled.

Congress needs to keep their noses out of State matters.
