UNITED NATIONS: U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon warned Monday that an abrupt U.S. troop pullout could deepen the crisis in Iraq, and he urged the United States to keep the Iraqi people in mind when making decisions on the increasingly unpopular war.

Will wonders never cease? The UN making sense for once. This should drive the liberal snakes in Congress nuts.

OMG, the UN says don’t leave and the AP prints the story. Are pigs flying? What is a leftist to do?

Rush keeps saying the Democrats are going to end up in trouble because they own defeat. Let’s hope something like this helps dump it in their lap.

Eventually the Dems are going to have to stop whinging and start doing. And their methods are so nuts they are going to end up in trouble.

That's what I thought... seldom do you see the UN to the right of Democrats. The fact is that the DBM/DNC has gone out on a rotten limb over Iraq for purely political reasons... and it's too brittle for them to crawl back.

They have sewn themselves to the filthy, white rag of surrender.

Seems the new guy must be the only person at the UN who didn’t receive any Iraqi oil vouchers or he didn’t get the memo.

The dems would never take any responsibility for the disaster that would occur if we pull out. They would simply say that it would not have happened had we not gone in, and put the entire blame on Bush.

And I don`t understand Bill O`Reilly`s stance on this. He says a pullout would make things 100 times worse for the US, and then in almost the same breath says we should pull out.

Great news! Does this mean that the U.N. world body is finally going to help us? Just yesterday, I read on the Internet that the U.N. issued a statement saying it didn’t have enough money to feed all the starving people. I wonder what the starving people who read newspapers and own laptops think of this news.

The U.N. is a pox on the U.S. We need to kick them out of here.

Price of corn is skyrocketing due to ethanol production and this is boosting prices of all corn based food products, and food products to which it is linked (example: milk).

Venezuela and Iran will volunteer to make up the cost difference with oil profits.

The Dems know exactly what they are doing. They know full well that Iraq would become a bloodbath if our troops pulled out prematurely and that is exactly what they want. They need something to campaign on next summer and they want to hang chaos in Iraq around GW Bush’s neck.

Also, has anyone noticed a pattern with the left screaming for a pullout in Iraq. They are fairly quiet about it for awhile then it ratchets up to fever pitch at certain times. Always before a certain milestone in the future... This fall, it will be the evaluation of the effectiveness of the surge. In times past, the shreiking proceeded two Iraqi elections, the writing of the constitution, the make up of the cabinet, etc.

It’s obvious that the left fears anything positive coming out of Iraq.

They will now be calling for the troops to be out nonstop as they will have nothing to campaign in the presidential elections. Iraq has to fail and it better get really bad soon.

It all boils down to a simple question. Will the world be safer if we pull out of Iraq prematurely? The answer is clearly NO.

Actually, when Britain’s new PM appointed Marc Malloch Brown to his cabinet, I was reminded that this was the guy who stood up at a press conference right after the Christmas Tsunami and accused the U.S. of being stingy. Do you remember that little bon mot?

I saw the U.N.’s latest gloom and doom announcement as yet another shakedown for American Dollars. Time to send Laura Bush in! The last time they did this, Laura went up there and handed them their collective heads!

Well, this is the basic rock and hard place scenario. As I recall the UN, which authored 17 resolutions against Iraq prior to the war, were opposed to us going into Iraq to enforce them.

Now, the head of the UN doesn’t want us to get out of Iraq because the situation could get worse.

I agree with him. If we leave Iraq suddenly, the world will lose its global whipping boy and Iraq and the US will both lose.

We have no choice but to remain and finish the job.

Robert Mugabe and the Zimbabweans are deeply disappointed.
