Pray for President Bush

Dear Heavenly Father I come before you with praise and adoration in my heart. You are the giver of life, each breath I take is a gift from you. I give thanks to you for all the good things you give to us each and every day. Father I lift up President Bush to you today and pray for him to be filled with wisdom, knowledge and joy. I pray that he sets his heart on you and his desire is to serve you and glorify your name. Give him rest and renew his spirit that he may be refreshed and think clearly. Father be with our troops, protect them, bring comfort to those who need it, courage to those who are wavering and guide them with their duties. Lord how very grateful I am that you are a personable God who longs to be with His people. We can come boldly to your throne of grace and obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. I pray this in Your Son’s Holy and precious name Amen.

was “for us” when he smote the Only-begotten, and laid the full weight of
his wrath upon him-he was “for us,” though he was against him; he was “for
us,” when we were ruined in the fall-he loved us notwithstanding all; he
was “for us,” when we were rebels against him, and with a high hand were
bidding him defiance; he was “for us,” or he would not have brought us
humbly to seek his face. He has been “for us” in many struggles; we have

O precious Lord, God of the universe, I agree in prayer with Wendelmyer and with every other person on this thread praying for our president, George W. Bush. Lord, he is hemmed in on every side. Even some of his friends have turned against him. Please help and strengthen our president. Please help him to see things clearly, and through your eyes. Grant him health, strength and peace. Guide him, we pray, in the right way.

Please help him make the right decisions for our nation. He is trying to stop the onslaught of the radical Islamists, Lord, those who have sworn to destroy us and to destroy your nation of Israel. Please unite our country behind him. You said that a house divided cannot stand. So unite us, dear Lord. Please let the scales drop from the eyes of those who are blinded by their personal interests. Lord, focus our vision so we can see where to place our next step.

Protect and bless our beloved soldiers and sailors, dear Lord, especially those who are in harm’s way. Please grant them supernatural protection. Let the weapons formed against them not function. Let those weapons be duds that, instead of harming our soldiers, blow up in the hands of our enemies. Please guide our military leaders, so they will know what to do. And please confuse and confound our enemies. Make them unsure and afraid when they realize that you are helping us. We pray all these things in the name of the holy Lamb of God, His son, Jesus. Amen.

I join in prayer for President Bush, the Administration and our heroes standing in harm’s way!

It seems, Most Merciful Father, that no matter the time nor the season, the enemies of our President are relentless in their attacks. Thank You that by the Power of the Holy Spirit, he stands. Make him resolute in protecting our beloved country, despite opposition ... sustain him when the accusations and ill-will become most vile ... let him neither falter nor fail, for his trust is in You. Shield his beloved family and this Administration from any and all wickedness, that daily we would grow stronger and better in thwarting every plan contrived by the enemy.

Heavenly Father, words cannot convey the gratitude, respect, and admiration we have for each of our defenders of freedom. That so noble a people would come out of a generation that clamors for failure, is but an indication that Your hand is upon them. Strengthen them, O God, as they seek to lengthen the light of liberty. Grant them good success even when failure has been declared. Thank You for the moms and dads who wait in the shadows for their beloved children ... grant the desire of their hearts and return their sons and daughters to the warmth of their homes.

Chaos reigns throughout the world, Sovereign God, stirred up by the prince of the power of this world. Breathe Your sweet calm upon the earth that we might live peaceably, one with another.
