A few weeks ago, former White House aide Bradford Berenson testified before the House Judiciary Committee about the much-debated question of whether suspected-terrorist detainees should have habeas-corpus rights.
During one exchange, Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D., N.Y.) had this to say: "I don't see how you can pick up someone in New York and say that his rights are different or less because he's accused of being an enemy combatant, based on whatever information, as opposed to his being accused of being a murderer. . . ."
Berenson responded: "[W]e need to be clear about what that means. It means that if we had captured Mohammed Atta on September 10th, we would have had no choice but to treat him as a criminal defendant, which would have meant no interrogation, no intelligence, and the World Trade Center is coming down."
Nadler interjected, "That's exactly right."

I am continually amazed how Rep. Jerry “I can’t believe I ate the whole thing” Nadler keeps proving that he is one of the dumbest leftists in Congress. But wait, he is from the old Communist Party stronghold in Manhattan that gave us his predecessors Comrade Bella Abzug (D-NY) (more on her when the documents are found), and Rep. Ted Weiss (D-NY) an Abzug-Stalinist clone, and nasty SOB to boot.

He doesn’t even begin to appreciate his stupidity. He compares it capturing other mass murderers. What other mass murderers murdered 3,000 at once?

I only wish, distasteful as it is, that Nadler and the people who vote for him with such tiresome regularity are at the epicenter of the next groud zero.
p.s. Of course, things I wish for never come true so I don’t wish that Nadler and the people who support him find themselves at the epicenter of the next ground zero.
This guy makes me so mad I almost can’t type. I live in his district. To me, it is a mark of shame that after 9-11, the people most directly attacked continued to re-elect this neo-communist hack. It is also a clear sign of the extent to which the average leftist voter is disconnected from reality - even when that reality explodes in their faces.
pps; And on that day that Nadler and his supporters are at the epicenter of the next ground zero, let there be a large, celebratory picnic, upwind, 50 miles from the epicenter with free-in-nyc and every other Nadler opponent, their pets and other normal invitees in attendance.
