Time Magazine: Democrats Have Got Religion
The magazine outlines how front-running Democrat candidates Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, and John Edwards are publicly embracing their faith in an effort to reach conservative voters.
Senator Clinton has hired Burns Strider, a congressional staffer and evangelical Baptist, who is assembling a faith steering group from major denominations and sends out a weekly wrap-up, Faith, Family and Values. "Burns is a religious guy who knows how to talk to other religious people like Republicans," said Clinton. When asked about her own faith, she replied, "I've always been very religious. In fact, in my office I have a little statue of Moses on the cross that I pray to every Sunday."
John Edwards is embarking on his 12 - city "Poverty Tour" that will take his campaign to mostly black inner city churches. Edwards said, "Just like Jesus, my message to the downtrodden is one of hope, the hope that they'll somehow get injured and be able to successfully sue someone or some company for millions of dollars like many of my past clients."
Barack Obama's campaign has run faith forums in New Hampshire, where local clergy and laypeople discuss religious engagement in politics. "It's important that 'everyday people' know how much Jesus wants them to vote Democrat," said the candidate while being fitted for a shimmering turquoise suit and platinum cross. "Abortion is a gift from God that Republicans and the Devil want to destroy, we ain't going to let it happen." Obama then fell onto the floor and started speaking in tongues, demonstrating his connection with powerful spiritual forces.
At this point, the Democrats have it all.

The Dims really shouldn’t go there given their track record and especially, Hillary Clinton. She is one dame who has broken every rule in the book, and now wants to redefine the BIBLE for all the sheeple she intends to fleese!
I find the majority of democratic candidates speaking in unknown tongues to me all of the time. I guess it is just the tongues of angels. Wish I could understand....
I think the Bible is very clear on a wide range of the most important issues and is still relevant, essential and helpful for us today, 2000-3000 years after it was written.
If I HAD to pick my personal best example of the words of the Bible not being able to be twisted or turned - even with the best efforts of imperfect men and governments to do so, I would give the example of the 10 Commandments VS Socialism/Communism.
It is why (I believe) socialists and communist HATE the Bible and Christians. The plain words of the 10 Commandants are in stark contrast to what the socialists want. Virtually all the moral teachings and wisdom of the Bible have their roots in the 10 Commandments. Though these principles are more than 3000 years old, they still define the basis for a well-functioning society. And that is why the socialists/communists must destroy the Bible in order to institute their own version of society.
I. “You shall have no other gods before me. ** NOT THE STATE, NOT MAN, NOT “GREAT” LEADERS.
II. “You shall not make for yourself an idol in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the fathers to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, but showing love to a thousand [generations] of those who love me and keep my commandments. ** NOT THE STATE. III. “You shall not misuse the name of the LORD your God, for the LORD will not hold anyone guiltless who misuses his name. ** LOOK AT HOW THE LEFT MOCKS CHRISTIANS - THEY MUST IN ORDER TO DESTROY IT

VII. “You shall not commit adultery. ** Socialists and Marxist promote adultery in its effort to destroy the family. Without the family, the individual must look to the state for financial and emotional support.
VIII. “You shall not steal. ** SOCIALISM AND COMMUNISM IS ENTIRELY BASED ON STEALING. MARX SAID “THERE IS NO PRIVATE PROPERTY IN COMMUNISM.” STEALING THE WEALTH OF SOME AND GIVING TO OTHERS AS A POLITICIAN SEES FIT IS THE BASIS OF SOCIALISM
IX. “You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor ** COMMUNISM IS BASED ON LIES. THERE IS NO FREEDOM OF SPEECH OR OF THE PRESS. YOU WILL SAY WHAT THE STATE WANTS YOU TO SAY - TRUTH OR LIES.
X. “You shall not covet your neighbor’s house. You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, or his manservant or maidservant, his ox or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor.” ** THE BASIS OF SOCIALISM IS THE COVETING OF WHAT OTHERS HAVE AND HAVING THE GOVERNMENT REDISTRIBUTE THE WEALTH. IT IS THE BASIS OF CLASS WARFARE.
If you follow the Bible you can NOT be a Socialist or Communist. And today, the Democrats in Americas are practically socialists. And no twisting of the words of the 10 Commandments can change that.

Very well thought out comments that contrast what the dems stand for, vs. what God says in His Word.
I still find it unbelievable that they try to use the “God card”, yet either ignore or trample on every sacred tenet He has given us. They think the masses are such idiots that they will not know the difference. And sorry to say, but many of their followers do fall for their tactics.
We’re not buying what you’re selling. Actions speak louder than words and your are coming in loud and clear. You will say or do anything in your quest for power. You have no morals, no scruples, no sense of fidelity or propriety and your values are completely incompatable with Christian faith.
Go peddle your lies somewhere else. Using God as a means to garner votes will all get you a front row seat in Satan’s gallery.

As for the Cross part you may have read the Koran instead of your King James, Our Lord Jesus is the one on the cross.
