NEW ORLEANS — Sen. David Vitter, who publicly apologized after being linked to an alleged prostitution ring in Washington, D.C., was once a client of a high-priced New Orleans brothel, a former madam said Tuesday.

Saying he was a "decent man" who appeared to be in need of company when he visited the brothel, Jeanette Maier added unexpected details to a scandal enveloping the first-term Republican...

...Maier pleaded guilty to running the Canal Street brothel in 2002. Vitter won his seat in the U.S Senate in 2004.

There are literally hundreds of names on the list and we’re in day two of hearing about Vitter.

This isn’t the DC list. He was also a client of a brothel in New Orleans.

I don’t see a problem with singling out republicans — I WANT THE FREAKS AND BUMS OUT OF MY PARTY.

I already know that most democrats are twisted crooks and queers. Naming them doesn’t change my view of any of them.

Well now, if he wants to keep his career he’ll have to become a Democrat.

Inquiring minds want to know if he was polite and said “Thank you ma’am.”

Exactly right, 2 days! And Vitter has already come out and made a statement, so no scandal. I do not approve, quite the opposite, but I would like to see them start telling us what Liberals have frequented brothels, of any kind, and then let THEIR scandals be exposed too. No matter that liberals do not consider THIER discretions, scandals!

To the media he isn’t a man or a human being. He is a Republican and for that he must pay.

The man clearly had marital problems and yet he is being raked over the coals for it. Clearly, if voters really cared that much, they wouldn’t have kept re-electing him to Congress, and they certainly wouldn’t have sent him to the U.S. Senate. It’s not like these allegations haven’t come up before.

Vitter will survive this, as he should. To be honest, the national media has no business being involved in what is a Louisiana issue.

We need his vote. Let his supporters in his state give him the boot in the next election if they want to.

If only the bastard had boinked an office intern, stashed a cool 90 G’s in his freezer, or sent all the bus drivers running ahead of a city-wide flood that left the helpless fools in the 9th Ward to fend for themselves, We’d only be hearing Crescent City Chocolate crickets right now.

Agree! I never like it when folks respond to any R misdeed by pointing out the Dems who are just as bad or worse. So what? Bad is bad is bad. This guy clearly doesn’t have the moral fiber to represent the best ideals of the party. I want him out in the next primary.

Well was the lady in question and intern? Does it not count if the tax payer is picking up the bill. Maybe Newt can answer that one? Was it a gay relation, Oh, wait if it had been someone with a limp wrest, the media would never have published it.

I don’t understand what the big deal is about anyone’s name on a whore’s list. Would people rather have more divorces other than some guy’s just going to a whore house for a quickie?? Prostitution is the oldest profession, being a politician is the second. That means, in my opinion, one goes along with the other.
Finally, just let people do what they do as long as it doesn’t hurt you, what’s the big deal??

Which shows you clearly know nothing about Louisiana elections. Now, they had a bill to change this, don’t know if it passed or not, but in the Louisiana primary system, all candidates run against each other in one huge primary, and the top two vote getters go to a runoff, which for them is the general election. If someone gets more than 50% in the first primary, they are automatically elected.

Someone who is actually still in the state let me know if this is still the system, cause I know it was in the New Orleans election last year.

He was also a client of a brothel in New Orleans.

His is alleged to be a client of a brothel in New Orleans.

It may or may not be true. Any "madam" could now claim Vitter was a client and it would be lapped up. Having said that, I don't know either way if it's true, let's just be careful not to believe any random "madam" who says "me too!"
