Apparently, it was a spur of the moment idea. He wasn’t suicidal prior to the antidepressant (most depressed people aren’t). He owned no weapons. He went downstairs to get the lawnmower ready for the beginning of mowing season (it was April). His wife heard him tinkering with the mower. She was washing dishes. Apparently, she hadn’t heard any noises from the basement/garage for a little while so she went downstairs. She found him hanging by the lawnmower rope from a overhead pipe.
