Where are the all the advocates for children, denouncing the exploitation of this young girl for crass political purposes?
The website is registered to ‘Simon Flynn’, presumably one of lil Susie’s family members, why isn’t HE running for President, eh?
from my youth.............what is worse than a yuppie ?
...........yuppie larva.....................
Proving once again that children should be seen, and not heard... and parents that brainwash their little ones in the ways of leftist evil should have them taken away from them before their kids turn into Rachel “Pancake” Corrie.
Whata loada crap.
How about pulling her aside and telling her she’s a prop? I’m guessing she didn’t build that site herself. What a silly stunt. People will do anything for attention these days.
Buddy, as the father of a little girl a couple of years older than this kid, KNOCK IT OFF! Seriously, she’s a little girl. I don’t care if you are just kidding, its really creepy.
>>>>>My name is Susie Flynn. I am running for President of the United States of America to help the nine million children who have no health insurance. This is a crisis. These children have been let down, yet the people accountable are doing too little to solve it. By running for President, I intend to make everyone in America aware of the issue so that it will no longer be ignored. Under your next President, every child in America must get the health insurance he or she deserves.<<<<<<<
Please allow me to be a cynic. I once taught a roomful of fourth-graders and I’m familiar with the cadence and rythym of writing from children about the age of this girl.
First, most elementary students do not use prepositional phrases at the start of their sentences, especially in their writing. The bright student starts sentences with a subject and a verb followed by a subordinate clause. The typical student follows the subject-verb-object structure. To my eyes, some of these sentences read as if they were written by adults, not a child. Maybe I’m wrong.
Second, the selection of words is suspect. I’ve taught some very smart children in my career, but none of the elementary students regularly used these words:
crisis
let down
accountable
intend
Third, I’m suspect when a child tells me about health insurance. I’ve never met a child who could explain to me how insurance works, yet I’m supposed to imagine that Susie Flynn somehow has not only understood the concept but has been so galvanized by its unfairness that she is running for president. Hmmm.
Fourth, I’m also aware of the historical use of children in propoganda used by the state or a political party to make policy statements. The child who comes to mind immediately is Pavel Mozorov, the boy who turned in his parents to the authorities for not collectivizing their land in the 1930s during Stalin’s control of the Soviet Union. Pavel was trotted out in schools all across the Soviet Union to demonstrate the need to collectivize and create a socialist paradise.
My gut therefore tells me that this is a fraud used by some group, probably “progressive,” to further lead us into the promised land of state-run medical care.
The website is registered to a Simon Flynn.
Methinks her liberal hippie dad is using her.
Your eyes could have told you the same thing with a lot less work. :=) The Children's Defense Fund is listed at the bottom of the site. Yes, it's both blatant leftist propoganda and shameless exploitation of a child.

Not only that, but I’d imagine that Simon Flynn is just a front for a larger organization or group of organizations. I’m going to do a search for old Simon Flynn right now and see what I get.
Hey, Bob, I was too focused on the writing from this child and her so-called noble efforts. Next time I’ll read the fine print.
OK, I'll 'fess up. :=) I might have missed it as well but it was mentioned in an earlier post.
I noticed that too...it is a paid political statement. I wonder what the campaign laws have to say?
I can see this stunt being covered as news...guest shots on Today and Letterman....
Kids have the darnd’est platforms.
Look for the Children's Defense Fund while you are at it.
LOL!
