U.K. doctor plot thickens [CLUELESS ALERT]
Toronto Star ^ | July 4, 2007 | Mitch Potter

LONDON–Were they sent to Britain with malicious intent, or did the will to wreak havoc come later? That is now the central question for Britain's counter-terror command as it works to unravel the botched weekend car bomb attempts in London and Scotland.

With six foreign doctors, one medical student and a former lab technician in custody after a four-day manhunt, investigators are quietly satisfied the "major suspects" in the case are in hand.

The probe now is shifting focus, as Scotland Yard works to pinpoint the genesis of the plot that fell apart bloodlessly in a surreal series of events that began early Friday.

All eight detainees have ties to Britain's National Health Service, overlapping in their duties at two hospitals in England and Scotland. Most also have roots elsewhere, but investigators have thus far found scant few common threads in their respective backgrounds in Iraq, Lebanon, Jordan, India and Saudi Arabia.

This article carefully avoids the "M" word.

Or the "W" word. Wahabi, that is.

Dollars to donuts these idiots all 'studied' at a Saudi financed Wahabi 'mosque'.

If Britain had any balls they'd be revoking every single Saudi visa in the country and razing those snake pits to the ground.

I think I would seek out their patients and give them good thorough check ups.

That’s because it is the far left Toronto Star.

The Brits should profile doctors instead of Muslims. That way they remain politically correct and the Muzzies will be nice to them.

I think the central question is how they we get all of those Muslims out of Britain?

They shared "some common ideology," yes, but whatever could it be? Maybe the names of the accused could help. Muhammad Haneef, Mohammed Jamil Asha, Marwa Asha, Khalid Ahmed, Bilal Talal Abdul Samad Abdulla, and two other unnamed suspects who came from Saudi Arabia. Gosh, I can't find any commonalities. Color me stumped!

But with two of the eight suspects captured literally with fire on their hands, even the Muslim Council of Britain, the country's largest umbrella group, emerged yesterday with an unequivocal declaration that "condemnation is not enough."

The council, with 400 affiliate organizations, signalled a major policy shift, telling reporters it now is ready to set aside quarrels over British foreign policy and directly urge its communities to play a key role in the fight against extremism that operates under the cloak of religion.

This Council is afraid the Britishers will not want to be served by Moslem doctors. If they were just kids, the West would be blamed. And unemployment. And Israel.

The left always blames the muslim death cult crowd on economic oppression from the west. And these guys all worked for England’s socialized medicine system.

Huh . . .

These individuals are physicians with access to items that can harm - nuclear medicines, viruses, etc. The implications are huge.

I believe we are to conclude that the NHS is a terrorist organization. They are probably draining the Brits' precious bodily fluids as we speak.

Can’t be their religion.

Obviously socialized medicine drove them to this. We can’t go down that route - too dangerous...

Where is the accountability? There is none.

Chertoff has a history as a lawyer of getting Islamic radiologists
who do NOT need nuclear materials, 'off' when they were caught
with the said nuclear materials.

This lack of accountability is very serious because
the enemy can easily continue to 'payoff' Officials (viz. 'Amnesty').

Cleric: ‘Al-Qa’eda Leader Told Me Of Bomb Plot’ (UK)

Cleric: ‘Al-Qa’eda leader told me of bomb plot’

By Nicole Martin and Sophie Borland
Last Updated: 2:52am BST 04/07/2007

A British cleric in Baghdad last night claimed that an al-Qa’eda leader warned him that “the people who cure you would kill you” months before the terrorist bomb plots in Glasgow and London.

Canon Andrew White, who runs the Iraqi capital’s only Anglican parish, claimed that he met an unnamed al-Qa’eda leader on the sidelines of a religious reconciliation meeting in Amman, Jordan.

“He told me that the plans were already made and they would soon be destroying the British,” Canon White said. “He said the people who cure you would kill you.”

Canon White claimed that he had passed on a general warning, but not the specific words, to an official at the Foreign Office in mid-April.

The Foreign Office said last night that “the official in question does not recall the conversation”.

Canon White said he did not learn the identity of the man until after the meeting, and would not disclose it now.

However, he added: “I met the Devil that day.”

Following the arrests of NHS workers, hospitals have been given new guidance for carrying out police checks on overseas doctors.

The NHS Employers’ Organisation said that due to the constant movement of junior doctors around the country, regular police checks were essential.

The organisation urged hospitals to carry out checks in doctors’ home countries and repeat this as “good practice” every three years.

Thousands of doctors from overseas will take up the new junior posts this August.

However, the organisation also warned trusts not to target doctors because of their religion or belief.

Sian Thomas, its deputy director, said: “It is good practice for an employer to carry out a Criminal Records Bureau check - even if an applicant claims never to have lived in the UK - and a police check in that person’s country of origin.”

Earlier, the Department of Health had vigorously defended its procedure for vetting doctors amid concerns that one of the suspects was a locum.

Ms Thomas said she wanted to reassure the public that there were “thorough and robust checks”.

But she said that the checks were designed to test “their merits to do the job they do”, rather than their political or extremist affiliations. She said she did not believe that it was the health service’s duty to check for such connections.

Agencies supplying locums to the health service are expected to carry out pre-employment checks on recruits before they take them on their books.

They should verify their identify, check their medical qualifications and carry out annual criminal record checks to ensure that they are suitable for temporary positions.

NHS hospital trusts should make sure that agencies have conducted all the necessary checks before the locum is permitted to work.

Well, this FReeper, sitting at his keyboard here in Los Angeles, has managed to do what the elite Scotland Yard detectives couldn't, and has found the common thread linking these terrorists....ISLAM!!!

The thought of islamic killer doctors has been on my mind since reading about a Baghdad doc who was killing iraqi soldiers he was “treating”. Also lets not forget that the Al Qaeda number 2 man is a physician.
