What became of his son who was infected with HIV by a pedophile gym teacher?

I have heard no updates on him. I think however the son may have been a stepchild, possibly from Ramona's first marriage. I say that only because Art has stated repeatedly his daughter Asia is his only child. That whole situation with the son was so tragic and I have often wondered about him too.
