BAE appointed the former Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales Lord Woolf to lead an external committee on the company's business ethics. Not to impugn Lord Woolf, but why does a company get to appoint it's own investigator?

I cashed out when BAE bought United Defense. Doubled up plus with UDI, then owners of Bofors,couple of DD-DDE shipyards and a few other suppliers to the US Military.
