Hunter and Tancredo are two of the cosponsors of this bill. Also, look back to 2005 and 2003, where they did the same thing. Good for them!

Oh, and Hunter's been calling for an end to illegal anchor babies as far back as 1995.

In terms of credibility, few match Hunter on illegal immigration, and none surpass.

This is very good. Thanks Hunter and Tancredo. Maybe we should loook at these two for President/Vice President.

While I agree with the bill, I also know its not going to pass, and that is sad.

Unfortunatly, this is only symbolic, but I would like to see the GOP use this as a hammer to drive the dems from office by putting them on the record, but alas, I know that will not happen.

One of the odd things is that I don’t see Ron Paul’s name on the cosponsor list. That’s weird; I know he prefers just going straight for amending the 14th (though the current position on illegals and anchor babies is due to misreading of the amendment’s intent than anything else), but cosponsoring these bills wouldn’t have hurt.

Unfortunately, as with the previous bills, the farthest they get is to committee...and then they stop. It’s sad.

And append to the bill,
“This legislation shall not be subject to judicial review,”
pursuant to:
Article 1, Section 8:
To constitute Tribunals inferior to the supreme Court;
and,
Article. III.
Section. 1. The judicial Power of the United States shall be vested in one supreme Court, and in such inferior Courts as the Congress may from time to time ordain and establish. The Judges, both of the supreme and inferior Courts, shall hold their Offices during good Behaviour, and shall, at stated Times, receive for their Services a Compensation, which shall not be diminished during their Continuance in Office.

Way past time to take our government back from the `super-legislatures’: federal district and appeals courts.

Maybe we should loook at these two for President/Vice President.

Some of us are!

On Federal Spending:
“The federal government is in debt because it spends too much, not because it taxes people too little. Government spending is classified as either discretionary or mandatory. Discretionary spending includes funds for things like the military and is explicitly set by Congress on an annual basis. But the major culprit in ballooning budgets is mandatory spending for entitlement programs like medicare, expenditures which are determined by the number of beneficiaries. The only way to control the budget is to reform the entitlement programs that mandatory spending funds. Those decisions on how to allocate resources are as economically necessary as they are politically and ethically difficult. ”

Even if it passes, the Supreme Court would certainly hold it unconstitutional under the 14th Amendment.
