Bob Grant had the best suggestion 30 years ago: landmines on the border, with loudspeakers in Spanish warning of them 24/7. Nothing would be more effective.

As per the Patriot Act, they are terrorist.

`(A) involve acts dangerous to human life that are a violation of the criminal laws of the United States or of any State;

`(B) appear to be intended—

`(i) to intimidate or coerce a civilian population;

`(ii) to influence the policy of a government by intimidation or coercion; or

`(iii) to affect the conduct of a government by mass destruction, assassination, or kidnapping; and

`(C) occur primarily within the territorial jurisdiction of the United States.’.

And this isn't an invasion?

From Article IV, Section 4 of the US Constitution:

The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion;

“Makes me feel all gooey inside that I pulled the lever for him... twice...”

Republicans take our support for granted. Big mistake.

All of this land is either National Park or national forest. If some arsonist or even some careless camper was the cause of this destruction of protected wilderness he would be going to jail and all the greens and environazis and good liberals would be up in arms. We would have nightly stories on the MSM about all the loss of our natural irreplaceable treasures, and demands that the government spend billions to fix the problem before our last saguaro and last spotted owl or gila monster is gone.

Yet here, where the net result is the same, forests destroyed, just after they were littered with tons of illegal’s trash and feces, the liberals and the amnesty crowd and the well-coifed anchors are strangely silent.

It looks like we have a new protected species - the illegal alien. He can trash up the national parks, he can set fire to the national forests, he can drive without a license, he can drive drunk, he can be in a hit-and-run accident (probably drunk), he can make and use fraudulent documents, and nobody at the Sierra Club, MADD and all the other professional do-gooders say a word.

Isn’t this a great country?

Come to think of it, it is sad that 12-20 million Mexicans didn’t LOVE their own patria enough to stay at home with momma and the kids, building the future for their own country. That the gov’t of Mexico couldn’t build an infrastructure to allow growth, expansion that would include 12-20 million workers to improve the wealth and prosperity of this country here in Mexico. Wow! how sad it is for the 5 million 300 thousand households in Mexico that have no father figure, at least the census bureau released this number yesterday, homes who have no Dad at home for Fathers Day. THAT is a tragedy. America still tries to solve everyone’s problems of the world. They need to read Henry MCloud’s book on BOUNDARIES. You aren’t good neighbors by becoming responsible for things that are in the jurisdiction and legal needs for your neighbor, they’ll resent you more in the end. Think about this Americans.

During his term in office, Vicente Fox would often go on about how hard-working, skilled, talented and industrious his countrymen were in our country.

It's unfortunate noone ever asked him "In that case, why can't they find jobs in their own country?"

For me, this is the most upsetting part. W keeps saying that it is better that we are fighting the enemy over in Iraq than on our soil, which I agree with, but then he has just left the backdoor open for years. It just floors me that his opinions on open borders haven't changed since 9/11.

Bush and his attorneys will probably prosecute border patrol agents for the fires.
